Our client is currently seeking a Site Procurement Manager to join the Buffalo area to support the Supply Chain leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for all procurement activities in support of MAG EA Site requirements. This includes oversight of purchase order placement and supplier management for all value streams. Additionally, this individual will drive common processes, tools, and governance across the entire team; this includes driving alignment with Operations with site tier management system. This individual serves as the escalation point for the site as well as collaborating with other sites to drive the best practices across the Operating Group. A critical component of this role will be translating the site goals/strategy into clear KPIs and critical actions to be taken by the procurement team including daily/weekly/monthly governance, and clear accountability throughout multiple levels of the team.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline (ex: Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations)
• 7 years progressive experience in Supply Chain with leadership experience
• Leadership experience should include developing and motivating others to achieve strategic objectives, leading change, and managing ambiguity.
• Experience with US Government contractual and regulatory requirements for PO Placement, Contracting, and Proposal support
• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and experience with continuous improvement tools (ex: 5Y, 8D).

Plusses:

• Previous FAR/DFAR Procurement experience desired
• Formal Six Sigma/Lean training is a plus
