Job Title: Procurement & Inventory Control Coordinator
Job Type: Full-Time, on-site
Salary: $33-$38 / hour
Job Summary:
The Procurement & Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of inventory levels, the placement of timely and cost-effective orders, and the reconciliation of inventory discrepancies. This role involves a combination of analytical, organizational, and communication skills to maintain inventory accuracy, optimize ordering processes, and support overall supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Ordering and Procurement
- Place orders for materials, products, or supplies based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production schedules.
- Track order status, resolve order discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Inventory Management and Reconciliation:
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Reconcile inventory records with system data, identifying and correcting errors.
- Monitor inventory levels, track product movement, and analyze inventory data to optimize stock levels.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including inventory turnover, and variance reports.
- Identify trends in inventory levels, order patterns, and supplier performance.
- Use data to make recommendations for process improvements, cost reduction, and inventory optimization.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, warehouse, and accounting team to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding order status, inventory levels, and discrepancies.
- Provide support and training to other staff members on inventory control procedures.
System and Process Improvement
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, orders, and adjustments in the inventory management system
- Identify opportunities to streamline ordering and inventory management processes.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ordering and inventory control.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, accounting or a related field strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, purchasing, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory management systems and ERP systems
