Process Technology Engineer

Elizabethtown, KY

Our client, a global automotive manufacturer, is hiring a Process Technology Engineer, primarily working in the Elizabethtown facility with visibility across all U.S. production sites. In this unique role, the Process Technology Engineer will be a sole contributor who will provide new and standardized process solutions to meet demands of the business. Growth opportunity is available in this position and full time in the plant is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, implement and maintain new manufacturing process technology innovation to secure machine improvements.
• Develop manufacturing processes for new model quotation activities for all sites and collaborate with Technology Leader.
• Research, improve and implement state-of-the-art fabrication processes from beginning to completion of products.
• Address gaps in closed loop process control.
• Adjust software and program robots, tying all modifications back to equipment.
• Work toward automated control over manual adjustments.
• Identify and pursue additional education and training to enhance abilities for the position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) required
• 3+ years engineering in industrial manufacturing environment
• 3+ years application of closed loop process control enablers such as optical or laser inspection devices and related software
• 3+ years PLC and robot programming
• Skilled in project management principles
• Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up principles
• Practical and theoretical understanding of glazing manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in MS Office products
