Brief Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Aid/train operators in maximizing products output while maintaining product quality by providing hands-on training and process direction to operators.
- Aid/Train operators in performing troubleshooting and making process adjustments as necessary on unresolved process problems.
- Reduce variability by ensuring equipment is run under standard operating conditions, record deviations and assignable causes, and work towards correcting such cause
- Monitor condition of equipment and tooling and notify Process Engineer about areas that need attention.
- Keep record of pertinent process variables for the purpose of benchmarking and improving the process
- Identify factors that negatively affect cycle time and work towards resolving such problems
- Continuously improve processes to achieve best output without compromising quality
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure product quality
- Provide tool design related feedback to engineering
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Thoroughly understand all thermoforming and extrusion procedures and be capable of independently troubleshooting problems
- Detailed and multitask oriented
- Must possess reasonable good communication skills
- General knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software
- Must have working knowledge of dryer/crystallizer/blender system and be able to troubleshoot.
- Have positive attitude towards team work and improvements of the process
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Job may require standing throughout 8 and 12 hour shift.
