Summary

Position Summary: SkyWater CMP Process Engineers lead cross functional teams focused on process and equipment optimization for their assigned tool sets. An engineer in this role is responsible for ensuring quality output, timely processing of product through the equipment and assistance with developing next generation processes on their tools. Responsibilities: * In this position you will work with a team of CMP process and equipment engineers along with a staff of experienced technicians to drive continuous improvement of process capability and controls. * Ownership of a whole tool approach including processes and equipment. * Collaborate with other functional groups to solve complex problems and make appropriate engineering-based decisions in a complex manufacturing environment. * Work across organizations to enable improved processes. * Develop, setup and document processes for newly acquired equipment. * Drive overall equipment performance to meet company key performance indicators (KPIs). * Resolve process and equipment excursions and drive permanent Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA). * Work with minimal supervision, balancing competing priorities, to serve the needs of the company. Required Qualifications: * BS and minimum of 8 years experience; MS degree with 6 years experience; PhD with 3 years experience * Demonstrated experience with the application of structured problem-solving methodology and design of experiment. * Demonstrated ability to independently acquire necessary knowledge to solve technical problems. * Led continuous improvement efforts to enhance process capability. * Experience in JMP and statistical software. * Ability to define, initiate, manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities to meet business needs, and deliver results. * Experience in FDC and its application to CMP processing. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience as an equipment owner with 8" CMP processing tools or similar semiconductor processing equipment. * 10+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. * Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE). * Demonstrated knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC). * Experience driving actions with internal/external resources to complete projects on time.
