The company is based on high temperature in materials research and development. It is continuing experiments since founded in 1971 to further advance sapphire crystal growth benchmarks using its Heat Exchange Method (HEM) Ceramic Slicing with unique Fixed Abrasive Slicing Technique (Fast.)

Title: Process Engineer

Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on Process Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, improving processes, and driving results through continuous improvement initiatives. Strong hands-on experience is essential, including familiarity with both high temperature materials and manufacturing equipment and common shop tools—as you will be actively engaged in supporting and optimizing production processes, executing engineering projects from concept to completion, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver practical, high-impact solutions. Mechanical aptitude, a proactive mindset, and a strong sense of ownership are keys to the success of the company.


Job responsibilities:

·     Conduct experiments for high-temperature sapphire and silicon crystal growth from the melt using the Heat Exchange System (HEM) to advance crystal growth.

·     Both practical and theoretical skills are necessary.

·     Ability to operate shop equipment.

·     Ability to modify existing equipment as needed.

·     Document detailed Heat Exchange System (HEM) Silicon Saphhire crystal growth and characterization results and Fixed Abrasive Slicing Technique (FAST) slicing procedures.

·     Basic mechanical, electrical, controls engineering skills.

·     Communicating participative feedback on R&D crystal growth and slicing experiments.

·     Data analysis and critical thinking skills, specifically in process development and characterization.

·     Characterization equipment (SEM, etc.) capability and understanding.

·     Engage in both independent and collaborative efforts, fostering a spirit of teamwork.

Qualifications:

·     Engineering degree or equivalent required. 2-5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or development environment

·     Demonstrated track record of successful project execution.

·     Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills

·     Experience with the operation of manufacturing and shop equipment

Experience with any/all the following processes are desired:

·     Process and Equipment Validation/Qualification

·     Data analysis

·     Automation/Controls Systems experience

·     Facilities engineering

·     Ability to think outside the box.

·     Proficiency with standard business software is required (Microsoft Office, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time
