Staff Engineer, Process Optimisation Projects

The Staff Process Optimisation Engineer is a strategic and technical leadership role responsible for the development and optimisation of processes through the application of new technology and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques ensuring delivery of significant cost savings and robust manufacturing processes. The Staff Engineer will play a crucial role in influencing the overall culture of the team embracing new technology, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


What you will do:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams ensuring alignment on strategy, project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Complete detailed technical assessments of current state processes and their associated KPI’s in support of the development of an optimised manufacturing strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Lead the manufacturing equipment selection process driving equipment standardisation for Poland ensuring that all equipment installed adheres to the sites requirements and integrates seamlessly with the necessary systems ensuring efficiency and safety in operation.
  • Lead new process optimisations and support new product & process introductions.
  • Assist in the selection of components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop support network of key divisional/corporate leaders academic and supplier partners to enhance understanding of product manufacture and quality.
  • Drive the analysis of equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental test and result analysis.
  • Develops technical solutions to complex technical problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Lead and/or participate in process/project review meetings.
  • Support capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment, contract negotiation, installation, and validation.
  • Champion process optimisation excellence across the network.
  • Benchmark best practices across the network.
  • Partner with leadership teams on the strategic manufacturing plan.


What you will need:

  • Level 8 Honours Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ manufacturing experience.
  • An innovator who defines ways to create value and deliver on company’s mission and strategic imperatives.
  • Proficient at implementing process improvements and leveraging the talent of their team to consistently increase performance and productivity.
  • Experience of building connections across teams and divisions and coordinating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Skilled at interpreting information clearly and accurately to concisely communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders, senior management, and their teams.
  • Can effectively coordinate and focus the work of skilled employees toward an important goal, prioritizing the right activities that lead to success.
  • Technological expert, willing to source, investigate and implement technological and automation advances.
  • Demonstrable excellent analytical & problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
