Role Summary
A rapidly growing FMCG beverage company is seeking a skilled and dedicated Process Operator to join its manufacturing team in Baghdad. This role is critical in ensuring efficient and safe operation of process equipment, maintaining high production standards, and supporting quality compliance in a fast-paced, shift-based production environment.
Work Schedule Requirement
This is a shift-based position in our Baghdad factory, requiring 12-hour shifts (including weekends and night shifts). Willingness and ability to work long shifts is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Process Equipment Operation
- Operate all process-related equipment including:
- Drum Emptying Unit
- Can Opening Machines
- Sugar & Stabilizer Dissolving Units
- Mixmol/Masmol Units
- Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Clean-in-Place (CIP) System
- Conduct line start-up and shutdown procedures
- Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and inspection
- Monitor operations to ensure compliance with SOPs and production standards
- Support maintenance technicians during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance
Raw Material Management & Efficiency
- Accurately record raw material consumption and ensure proper dumping procedures
- Update and maintain raw material inventory logs
- Monitor syrup loss and control overproduction to match line requirements
- Highlight near-expiry raw materials to Quality Department in a timely manner
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all GMP, GHK, HACCP, and AIB standards
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date process records, logs, and IQMS inputs
- Immediately report any off-standard raw materials, incidents, or food safety concerns
- Participate in CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) for quality incidents
- Support internal and external quality and safety audits
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Wear required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, goggles, apron, etc.) at all times
- Follow safety SOPs and report all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions within 24 hours
- Attend monthly toolbox talks and contribute to risk elimination efforts
- Promote and maintain 5S and safety standards in the work area
Teamwork & Communication
- Participate in daily shift meetings to align on production and quality targets
- Ensure smooth shift handovers with clear communication and documentation
- Maintain professional working relationships with team members and supervisors
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in a technical field, or completion of ITI / 10+2 education with relevant experience
- At least 6 years of experience in a juice manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to operate and maintain process equipment in a food or beverage facility
Key Skills:
- Basic understanding of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant operations
- Working knowledge of GMP, GHK, HACCP practices
- Good English communication skills – reading, writing, speaking
