We are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Engineer to join our Artificial General Intelligence – Data Services Operations (AGI DS Ops) Team.

Key job responsibilities

Amazon is seeking Process Improvement Engineers to join the Amazon AGI-DS Operation Team and relentlessly drive continuous improvement initiatives across our World-Wide network while preserving best-in-class quality for the products (data) we deliver to our customers. The role will be based in our The Hague site. This role is essential to establish best in class network performance. As we continue to rapidly grow our AGI footprint and infuse the organization with new talents, we need to ensure the operations teams are equipped with the functional expertise to successfully deliver efficiency at scale.

As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will work closely with the key Teams shaping the industry of Generative AI such as – but not limited to - AGI-DS Operations, Quality, Customer Program Management, Tech, Finance, Science. You will be responsible for designing and deploying continuous improvement initiatives, building networks and relationships, and driving compliance within assigned timelines. This role requires high level of critical thinking, judgement and ownership. You are expected to understand initiatives in detail, influence without authority, and deliver meaningful results to make an impact

A day in the life

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Identify improvement opportunities by comparing process performance and variations across the network (1P and 3P)
  • Monitor and analyze key input metrics, implementing improvement actions using standard templates
  • Review and validate results using standardized reports and dashboards
  • Driving path to excellence through close collaboration with other sites and regional teams to share best practices and gain efficiencies
  • Drive network best practice improvements, working with local teams to identify and document successful initiatives
  • Strengthen the framework for capturing and scaling site innovations
  • Support large-scale improvement projects with significant network impact
  • Organize weekly and monthly business review on performance metrics, project implementation, and improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure buy-in for initiatives
  • Own the deployment of network initiatives at site level
  • Support testing and piloting of new projects
  • Ensure timely execution and compliance with network standards
  • Document and share implementation learnings and business reviews through crisp writing in line with the high Amazon standards

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, or related technical field
  • Native-proficiency fluency in verbal and written English
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in process improvement, operations, or technical environments
  • Experience with data analysis and process optimization
  • Strong project management and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and visualization software
  • Business acumen, critical thinking

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field
  • Experience with change management and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Understanding of AI/ML operations basics
  • Experience with process mapping and workflow optimization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability interpreting & communicating analytics and presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience influencing without direct authority
  • Excellent communication skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering process improvements
