What you will do?
Responsible for new product launch & equipment commissioning for assigned commodities into production.
Develop and update process documentation (process standards, layout, process flow, PFMEA, process planning etc.) for new and modified processes.
Monitor results and KPIs, perform studies and analysis of implementations to ensure process consistency.
Provides input and assistance in prototype builds for new or modified product designs in manufacturability and process parameters.
Works with capacity plans in support of quoting and customer requirements for new jobs / business.
Ensure product designs can be manufactured through APQP.
What you will bring?
Engineering Degree or Diploma.
Functional knowledge of design for manufacturing techniques and APQP process.
Problem solving and analytical abilities.
Understanding of GD&T, SPC and PFMEA.
Minimum 5 years relevant manufacturing experience, automotive products.
Experience in the assembling of plastic components in a high-volume automated production environment.
Experience in assembly of electronic and electrical components or high voltage automotive products is a plus (quality controls, functional testing, etc.).
Laser Welding (plastic/metal) experience considered an asset.
Knowledge of magnetization processes in motors.
Exposure to balancing rotary mass in production considered an asset.
