In order to support our development in the transition to the low-carbon we need to strengthen our Circular Economy and Biobased Solutions Technological Line, we are currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer with experience in Biotechnologies for the production of Fuels and Chemicals to join our team based in Rome office, Italy. You will work in the Process Department with the mission to promote innovation and contribute to the development of advanced low carbon technological solutions. You will report hierarchically to the Process Section/Department Head and operationally to the Process/Project Manager. About the Job Under the responsibility of the Process Section/Department Head , after an initial period of integration, you will be in charge of: • Support the process design activities for the initiatives on Bio-Based solutions, in all project phases starting from conceptual design up to the detailed engineering phase. • Manage external interfaces with the customer, suppliers, subcontractors for all technological related aspects • Coordinating with the project management, engineering and construction team for project execution. • Contribute to the Research & Development activities on the Bio-Based solutions including techno scouting and research activities with university. • Support in the preparation of technical proposals. About You We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: You have at least 5+ year of successful experience in process design (simulation, PFD, equipment data sheet and P&IDs) Experience as process engineer in Biomass and Biochemical Conversion Technologies, in particular with background in fermentation, biocatalytic processes and downstream processing for the production of chemicals or fuels, etc. Qualifications: Master Degree in Chemical Engineering Languages: English (Professional) Main Skills: Knowledge of process design methods and tools, familiar with process simulators softwares (ASPEN, Hysys, PROII, others) Familiar with managing all aspects of process engineering design Must be able to work independently and within a team Good communication skills What’s next?
