Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Process Development: Design and develop photolithography processes including photoresist coating, soft baking, exposure, post-exposure baking, development, and hard baking.
* Tool Operation & Optimization: Operate and maintain photolithography equipment such as steppers/scanners (e.g., ASML, Nikon), coat/develop tracks (e.g., TEL, SVG), and metrology tools.
* Characterization & Analysis: Perform critical dimension (CD) measurements, overlay analysis, focus-exposure matrix studies (FEM), and defect inspections to evaluate process performance.
* Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of process issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reliability.
* Collaboration: Work with integration engineers, process engineers, and R&D to support technology development and transfers to manufacturing.
* Documentation: Write detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and development reports.
* Continuous Improvement: Implement DOE (Design of Experiments), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and other methodologies to improve process robustness and reduce variability.
Education & Experience
* Minimum 4 yr. experience.
* Post-graduate or equivalent degree.
Skills
* In-depth knowledge of lithographic techniques, photoresist chemistry, and exposure systems
* Familiarity with semiconductor wafer fab operations (Manufacturing Execution System, process, and quality control, change management etc.) in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, MATLAB, Excel)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* GaAs/InP semiconductor processing or optoelectronics device experience preferred.
* Strong ability to drive actions and solutions through cross-functional teams.
Working Conditions
* Cleanroom environment requiring gowning procedures
* Fast-paced, team-oriented R&D and manufacturing settings
Physical Requirements
* Work in a class 100/1000 clean room for extended periods
* Wear full cleanroom attire (smock, mask, etc.)
* Work with and/or around chemicals (such as solids and acids)
* Stand for up to 4 hours at a time
* Lift up to 16-30 Pounds
* Push/Pull up to 16-30 pounds
* Sit for up to 4 hours at a time
Safety Requirements
