Job Description
onsemi’s semiconductor fabrication facility in Syracuse, NY is looking for a Process Engineer (Photo) to join the team. Our technology enables the next generation of power conversion, accelerating the transition to high efficiency, high power conversion solutions and inspiring new power system architectures.
Responsibilities
- The Photo Engineer’s primary responsibility is to develop and qualify the photolithography module processes for wide bandgap power transistors. This Engineer will lead projects focused on photo process capability development, qualification, process control, and continuous improvement activities while sustaining baseline processes to support their colleagues’ projects to deliver the overall program goals.
- This role requires an efficient and effective collaborator with a team-first attitude and will interact closely with other fab process modules, equipment engineering, process integration, and device engineering teams to deliver, sustain, and improve photolithography attributes for device performance and yield.
- The individual in this role must be self-motivated and hands-on with an ability to contribute independently. The nature of this technical program within onsemi requires this individual to be hard-working and flexible in their support of the program’s objectives.
- An ideal candidate for this role is data-driven and detail-oriented with experience developing and driving photolithography processes from ideation through to qualification for production.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related field
- 6 years of experience in photolithography processing preferably applied to the development and manufacturing of wide bandgap or other power semiconductor device technologies
- Hands-on experience with DUV based stepper, coat/develop, overlay and inspection equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing-grade cleanroom environment while supporting fast-paced development activities
- Functional working knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, 8D, 5Y with a proactive approach to problem solving and ability to drive teams to root cause identification and creative solutions
- Project leadership experience with demonstrated organization, time management, oral communication and written communication skills applicable to successfully meeting aggressive schedules
onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $86,000.00-$137,000.00 range exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
