Summary

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in advancing our plant operations. Position Summary

The Process Engineer will be a key figure in overseeing and enhancing manufacturing processes within the plant. With extensive experience, the candidate will lead the scoping, design, and execution of new products on existing or new units, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality output. They will also provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes. A significant aspect of their role includes managing the day-to-day production of their units, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency.

Process Engineering Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development and manufacturing of new products new to the facility, ensuring they are scoped, designed, and executed efficiently.
  • Provide expert analysis and reporting on production processes, including cycle time, phase time, and yield.
  • Resolve problems to ensure processes meet or exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with technical and operations personnel to optimize existing processes and introduce innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with plant management systems such as ISO, PSM, and Responsible Care.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Participate in control system design and implementation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
  • Proficient in Heat and Mass Transfer Calculations.
  • Work Experience: Range of 2 10+ years in process engineering, with a strong focus on product development and process optimization.
  • PSM Experience: Proven expertise in implementing and managing Process Safety Management (PSM) protocols and regulatory compliance.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership, planning, and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and drive results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent relationshipbuilding across different functional groups.
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven mentorship abilities with a focus on developing engineering talent.
  • Indepth knowledge of safety procedures for handling hazardous chemicals.
  • Analytical thinking and problemsolving capabilities.

Physical Requirements

  • 60% Office Setting, including sitting, some bending, walking and viewing.
  • 40% Plant setting, including, bending, walking, lifting/moving objects less than 25 lbs.
