The Opportunity
Under general supervision, responsible for all phases of medium-scale assigned process improvement projects, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost. Implements process improvements to meet quality standards, performs feasibility studies and solves problems. Creates necessary documentation and aides in communication to personnel.
POSITION PROFILE: (Basic Purpose of Position)
This position is responsible for the planning, organization and execution of site activities for the Single-Use Hardware Systems business. This includes performing the required site tasks such as simple installations, modifications, every kind of R&D tests, validation tests, customer tests, site applications, service/support activities etc. to ensure the hardware system will meet the performance criteria required by the customer. This position will work closely with engineering team, product management, account managers, customer service, production and quality. The team leader leads the team of site engineers, site technicians, logistic operators and reports directly to the Singe-Use Hardware Systems Manager.
Major Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage, train and coach a team of site engineers, site technicians and logistics operators.
- Support commercial teams in driving the single use hardware systems portfolio.
- Manage organization and execution of site test that is required for product development, validation, delivery and service/support of Hardware Systems.
- Implement and maintain key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure continued customer satisfaction and achievement of company goals.
- Visit end customers to supply service and support for the Hardware Systems needs / requirements.
- Visit subcontractors to organize execution of required site works and technical meeting for the Hardware Systems needs / requirements.
- Plan and propose CAPEX proposals for the needs of Single use Hardware Systems group following the development guidelines from management. Manage execution of the CAPEX plan as approved by management.
- Own maintenance plan of Single Use Hardware Systems group including hand tools, power tools, measurement devices and any other equipment that is used by Single Use Hardware Systems Team.
- Select and/or validate appropriate subcomponents for Hardware Systems for final product to function as required (i.e. sensors, pumps, motors, etc.). This may include developing test protocols and performing physical tests.
- Perform various tests (e.g. pressure test, pull test, etc.) and create validation packets for customersMaintain engineering documents including a library of all required technical information and safety information with appropriate data.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints in a timely manner; notify management of problems and suggest corrective actions.
- Understand and support company operating procedures to provide proper and effective service to all customers and foster the development of long term business relationships.
- Entering/maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM) and Method of Manufacturing (MOM) in ERP system.
- Conduct feasibility and cost estimation of products to ensure the design can meet business and customer needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
