The Process Engineer performs process engineering activities for multiple projects. This includes preparing process documents and working on different stages of a project from Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC detailed engineering to project completion/construction phase. They interact and collaborate with clients, vendors, fabrication, and other engineering disciplines to be able to complete tasks and resolve issues. They complete projects in the safest, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
Provide process specifications for equipment.
Provide technical and design support of process equipment and mechanical systems.
Maintain a process utility spreadsheet and process design narrative to support other project disciplines.
Prepare and modify simulation models for the project using HYSYS.
Develop all process engineering documents including BOD, PFD, P&IDs, DP/DT, H&MB, equipment & instrument datasheets, process control philosophy, cause and effect diagrams, and operating manuals.
Size piping, equipment and instrument data sheets, including PSV datasheets.
Conduct P&ID reviews with clients and internal disciplines.
Participate and resolve HAZOP action items and close out HAZOP Action.
Communicate with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and other stakeholders to keep track of tasks, deliverable, and schedule.
Education And Experience
1-3 years of related experience in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction industry.
Chemical Engineering (bachelor’s degree) or equivalent.
Professional Engineer License is preferred.
Engineer in Training (EIT) (pass PE exam for Chemical Engineering); preferred.
Working experience in Plant and Offshore is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
Ability to reach, stand, walk, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
