We are searching for an experienced Process Engineer at our Cincinnati, OH - Plant facility.

Job Summary

The Process Engineer plays a key role in optimizing manufacturing operations through strategic analysis and planning. This position is responsible for identifying inefficiencies, eliminating waste, and implementing improvements that increase output and reduce costs. Working closely with cross-functional teams and spending time on the production floor, the Process Engineer evaluates workflows, equipment, and systems to drive continuous improvement and enhance overall operational performance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the skills, aptitudes, and abilities to perform the essential duties proficiently.
  • Design, implement, monitor and improve manufacturing processes and equipment specifications to meet relevant safety, legal and quality requirements.
  • Develop Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) in conjunction with Design Engineering BOM (EBOM).
  • Analyze current production procedures and standards to identify inefficiencies.
  • Analyze material, employee and machinery workflow to find out where the process can be streamlined for lower costs and improve productivity.
  • Responsible for researching new technology and suggesting new machines and/or methods by providing business case data and present to manager or assigned project team leader.
  • Create strategic plans that eliminate the inefficiencies identified and present solutions in form of presentation with supporting data, investments and benefits/ savings (soft and hard).
  • Support problem solving and root cause analysis activities with other functional team members as a manufacturing process owner of the assigned area or manufacturing process/ equipment.
  • Manage implementation of assigned and approved manufacturing plans/projects, monitor the new procedures and report success and failures in summarized presentation and data per established targets for the manufacturing plan/project or defined KPIs.
  • Strategically lead manufacturing process performance improvement projects to increase the process capability and optimal capacity. Projects may include process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 6‐Sigma, 5S and Kaizen events…etc.
  • Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within manufacturing engineering processes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate and train teams and personnel in assigned manufacturing areas on specifications, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned processes to ensure continued performance, especially when implementing new standards or onboarding new employees.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to process efficiency, product quality, material handling, and rework reduction.

Authority

Take proactive measures to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities related to safety, product quality, and process compliance.

Identify and report problems within manufacturing operations in a timely manner.

Recommend and provide potential solutions through appropriate channels.

Confirm the successful implementation of solutions and corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering — or 4+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 2D/3D CAD software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management; PMI methodology preferred.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5 Why’s, 8D, and other process improvement tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Primarily office-based with occasional production floor presence.
