We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Exlar team!
As
our Process Engineer you will perform various analyses, design and/or assembly related to manufacturing or industrial engineering projects. You will develop, implement and maintain methods, controls, and test protocols for electro-mechanical components and final assemblies. Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Additionally you will, estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and create tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines. Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
Location: Chanhassen, MN
Salary/hourly rate: $74,400 to $100,000

Your Challenge
- Support and develop production testing for electro-mechanical products that interface with third party servo drives, PLC, HMI, DCS and various control systems.
- Review product/project flow data, equipment, and labor requirements for conducting manufacturing operations, increasing productivity and reducing cost.
- Establish process flows, work instructions, and standard procedures to ensure reliability of product manufacturing.
- Interface with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products and evaluate engineering requirements for manufacturability prior to release.
- Implement data-driven improvements resulting from customer complaints, product failures, and manufacturing inefficiencies.
- Work cooperatively with program management, finance, design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production.
What You Bring
- Industrial grade product experience including:
- Precision machining
- Mechanical assembly
- Electrical testing
- Motion/automation firmware & software
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.
- Working knowledge of various third-party servo drives, HMI and PLC configuration and programming packages. i.e. Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Control Techniques is a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- 2-3 years experience required
- 4 year Bachelor’s in Engineering preferred but not required.
