Position: Extrusion Engineer

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN (100% on-site)

Duration of project: 6-9 months +

Candidates MUST BE LOCAL and MUST HAVE EXTRUSION EXPERIENCE WORKING FOR A MEDICAL COMPANY.

*We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Engineer to support production operations through the end of the year as part of a planned site closure. This is a hands-on role with flexibility in scheduling—standard hours are approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but there is room for adjustment based on the candidate’s availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide critical support on LEANPD-driven new product development projects

Drive continuous improvement in existing manufacturing technologies and methods

Identify and implement new technologies to improve process control and tolerance management

Serve as a key liaison between product development and manufacturing engineering

Collaborate with Product Development teams to optimize designs for manufacturability

Develop, qualify, and document tooling and manufacturing processes in TE systems (SAP, TLM)

Create prototypes, sample tooling, and production samples

Partner with supply chain teams to verify supplier capability and compliance

Lead initiatives to improve quality, reduce cost, and shorten cycle times

Ensure adherence to internal specs, regulatory standards, and customer requirements.
