Process Engineer and PMO Manager Asia Pacific
Responsibilities
- Direct the implementation of all engineering and plant strategic initiatives by aligning with business teams to ensure optimization of manufacturing sites operations, meeting business and plant goals in a sustainable way.
- Evaluate existing and new manufacturing processes and equipment, identify, and develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates/yield/efficiency, quality of output and product reliability.
- Review, designing, running, testing, and upgrading systems and processes ensuring that all processes and procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations. Able to prepare project reports, flow diagrams, layout, equipment specifications etc.
- Drive adoption of best practices developed by Operational Excellence (OpEx) teams across manufacturing sites to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and implement the Global OpEx strategy within the region with strong alignment with the Global PMO/COO (7 pillars of OpEx strategy – strategy cascade, trainings, GPA analysis, etc.).
- Develop OpEx road map in co-ordination with the Regional OpEx Steering Committee aligning with the business strategy and leading execution through regular check-ins and annual KPI’s.
- Implement lean business best practices within the organization to establish systematic processes emphasizing speed, accuracy, and total company effectiveness and competitiveness.
- Facilitate training and workshops for employees to ensure organizational competency in project management, Kaizen, and lean tools. Promote an OpEx culture within the organization focusing on continuous improvement across all functions.
- Promote innovative concepts focused on operational excellence and drive change using influence and leadership skills.
- Comply with corporate and company HSE and other related policies and procedures as well as all applicable local legislative compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
- Certification in Six Sigma Black or Green Belt with hands-on experience is preferred.
- Seven years of experience in chemical manufacturing site. Batch manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Analytical comprehensive knowledge of internal processes and project management.
- Critical thinker and sound decision maker with strict attention to detail.
- Collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English and Chinese is required.
- Occasional travelling.
