Process Control Engineering Manager: The Impact You’ll Have On The Organization and World
- You will lead a team of engineers and technicians and influence others that report to the sites.
- You will engage in strategic collaboration. You will work closely with manufacturing and engineering team members to evaluate, develop, implement and maintain reliable process control solutions that deploy existing and new technology and create long-term value.
- You will provide tactical level automation and process control services to business in support of growth, asset effectiveness, improvement initiatives, process safety and environmental compliance.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor associates in alignment with departmental vision.
- Apply reliability models to sustain and improve process control system assets.
- Develop and use disciplined work practices with peers in Engineering and Operations to plan, prioritize and execute capital and non-capital projects.
- Develop and apply standard practices.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and other personnel to optimize manufacturing processes and create knowledge from process control systems.
- Participate in the evaluation and resolution of process safety and quality incidents.
- Prioritize department activities and share progress with associates and leadership.
What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities) :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment operation and controls used in chemical manufacturing processes (continuous and batch).
- Excellent interpersonal skill to coach and communicate high-level concepts to various functions in the organization.
- Possess self-motivated and proactive work ethic, having a strong sense of accountability to complete work both independently and through influence.
- Knowledge of industrial automation networks and communication protocols
- Knowledge of ISA 95 and S88 Standards and how these are used within automated manufacturing systems.
- Integration of industrial control systems with enterprise resource planning, scheduling, quality and maintenance systems.
- Experience leading a team of technicians and engineers.
- Experience/certification in project management.
- Willingness to travel 20-35%.
