We are launching a new project in collaboration with a leading European company in the biosolutions sector and are looking for a skilled Process Automation Engineer (DCS 800xA) to join our international team.
Project Overview:
You will be involved in the development and implementation of manufacturing batch recipes (MBRs) for pharmaceutical and biotech processes, working with ABB 800xA with Batch Management. All activities are carried out in full compliance with GMP/GAMP standards.
The project scope includes both greenfield and brownfield sites, covering design, FAT/SAT, qualification, and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and programming of process automation solutions using ABB 800xA.
- Participation in the execution of new capital projects (design, implementation, commissioning).
- Support and continuous improvement of existing process automation systems.
- Collaboration with an international, English-speaking project team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with ABB 800xA DCS, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar production environments.
- Hands-on experience in programming and configuring 800xA systems, including Batch Management.
- Good understanding of GMP and GAMP guidelines.
- Experience in participating in FAT, SAT, qualification, and commissioning processes.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (working language).
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in greenfield and/or brownfield projects.
- Background in supporting or upgrading automation systems in operational production facilities.
