Reporting to the Senior Director of Operational Excellence, this role plays a critical role in shaping the operational framework for EdgeCore’s data center portfolio. By developing, implementing, and continuously improving standardized procedures, including MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, this role ensures efficiency, safety, and compliance across mission-critical environments.
With deep expertise in MEP systems, this role drives consistency in procedure creation, ensuring seamless operations across all EdgeCore sites. By auditing performance data and analyzing operational trends, this position refines policies and implements solutions that enhance technician effectiveness, improve equipment efficiency, and maximize data center uptime.
Beyond technical expertise, this role is instrumental in educating and developing teams, equipping them with the knowledge and accountability needed to operate at peak performance. - Develop and implement portfolio-wide procedural and documentation policies that drive consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Utilize EdgeCore’s CMMS, MCIM, to refine and enhance procedural workflows, ensuring alignment with best practices and evolving operational needs.
- Establish and monitor Objective Key Results (OKRs) to measure procedural effectiveness, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high performance across the EdgeCore portfolio.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of procedural policies by analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and implementing targeted improvements to optimize operations.
- Audit and validate operational procedures for critical infrastructure, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Provide technical expertise and process refinement following incidents or system failures, leveraging real-time data to enhance procedural resilience and response strategies.
- Design standardized templates for Core Operations teams to streamline the creation and execution of MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, RCAs, audits, and drill guides.
- Train and mentor site operations teams in procedural best practices, technical writing, and effective use of MCIM to strengthen documentation quality and team capability.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence through regular audits and performance evaluations of site teams and vendors, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, critical infrastructure, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in a highly technical environment.
- Three to five years of experience in data center engineering, design, or operations with a strong foundation in critical infrastructure management.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and clarity in procedural documentation.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to educate, influence, and collaborate effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for diverse audiences.
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment when handling sensitive operational and business matters.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple projects with precision, urgency, and strategic focus.
- Proactive problem-solver with a strategic mindset and a strong sense of ownership in driving initiatives forward.
- Commitment to operational excellence, accountability, and continuous process improvement with a results-driven approach.
- Willingness to travel 25-50% as needed, adapting to dynamic business needs.

- This is a full-time salaried position, including equity compensation and a performance-based annual bonus.
- This role requires in-office presence four days per week and offers free on-site parking.
- Candidates should be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Mesa, AZ, or Sterling, VA, with a preference for these locations. Denver, CO, and Reno, NV, are also viable options.
- Base salary range is $125,000 – 165,000, depending on experience.
