Responsibilities:
Work cooperatively with physicians to develop an appropriate treatment and care plan specific to the patient and their physicians' report
Assess the environment, especially as it relates to safety
Identify equipment needs and develop an adaptive plan to improve patient function and independence
Report patient’s response to treatment or changes in condition to the Director of Nursing and physician
Prepare clinical and progress summaries as well as discharge planning. Submit documents to Director of Nursing
Treat patients, family, and staff with courtesy and respect
Submit accurate and timely documentation
Requirements:
Graduated from a speech therapy accredited program.
Pediatric experience required
Successfully completed a period of supervised fieldwork experience required by the recognized educational institution where the applicant met the academic requirement of the educational program
State license in Texas
One (1) years of appropriate experience as a speech therapist
Adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality
