The Associate CNC & 3D Printing Operator is responsible for assisting in producing specified foam and wood parts for scenic construction by utilizing CAD/CAM software to program and operate CNC routers and CNC hot wires. They are also responsible for 3D printing process and maintaining all printers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate CNC routers, hotwires, and laser cutter. Work with Artist, Engineers, and Carpenters to strategize break down and construction methods for scenic elements. Use Cam software to program toolpaths for CNC machines. Programming, running, and maintaining all 3D printing capabilities for the Production team. Utilize software to program 3D prints to run on the cloud. Perform regular inspections and maintenance on machines. Maintain an efficient, organized, and safe shop space. Prerequisites: High proficiency in computer use, typing, and navigation Experience in 3D Software such as but not limited to Solidworks, MODO, Rhino3D/RhinoCAM, BobCAD/CAM is helpful Prior experience in 3D printing Knowledge of and/or experience with CNC machining equipment such as routers and hot wires preferred Working knowledge of geometry and trigonometry is helpful Knowledge of basic computer programming is helpful In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Experience Required 2 year(s): Computer 3D modeling and/or CAD experience preferred Education Required High School or better
