Job Summary:
If you are an engineer with embedded system knowledge and a passion for working on a new hardware, then Supermicro has a great opportunity for you. Supermicro is seeking a stellar Principal Software Engineer to develop, implement, plan, improve and manage the software application from inception to use. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate in a team environment across multiple disciplines and making the requirements to rapidly deliver firmware solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Research and development of multi-tenant adaptable seamless Artificial Intelligent (AI) telco and enterprise cloud systems
* Use commercial software and/or open sources, including accelerating computing, conventional/fabric switching network, high performance storage, and management framework with privacy and security by design methodology.
* Lead a group of global AI cloud developers, system administrators, and cloud users to translate customer business requirements into efficient, resilient, and secure intelligent cloud products.
* Provide guidance in developing AI cloud infrastructure services and solutions to meet future technology advances.
* Identify and mitigate the issues and risks throughout the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related fields
* Minimum of 20 years of relevant working and programming experiences
* Familiar with multi-tenant cloud services with scaling/flexible deployment options across bare metal, virtual machines, and containerized environments
* Ability to be self-motivated towards the achievement and measurement of established goals
* Aptitude to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with both the client and internal staff members and to deal effectively with conflicts
Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.
Salary Range
$200,000 - $235,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
