The Principal Software Architect is responsible for understanding requirements and leading a Software Development team to deliver solutions on schedule. They will design and develop software solutions following the software development lifecycle, which includes planning for releases, designing solutions, developing the software, demoing delivery, resolving bugs, and supporting product issues. QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS/ABILITIES: Software design and programming Communication skills Teamwork Leadership Strategic thinking Problem-solving REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Java React / React Native AWS Postgres MongoDB Microservices architecture Cloud computing EDUCATION/ LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: B.S. in Computer Science, or related discipline. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 15+ years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 5 years in a leadership or architect role. JOB DESCRIPTION ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develops information systems by designing, developing, and building software solutions. * Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with product, management, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. * Investigates problem areas. * Follows the software development lifecycle. * Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. * Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed. * Provides technical leadership and mentorship to the development team. * Ensures architectural integrity and consistency across the product.
