We are partnering with a cutting-edge engineering firm in Atlanta that develops advanced antenna systems and satellite terminals for both commercial and U.S. Department of Defense customers. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity for a Principal RF Engineer to work on complex, state-of-the-art hardware systems that operate across broad portions of the RF microwave spectrum.


What You’ll Do:

As a Principal Engineer on the Hardware Engineering team, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of mechanical, electrical, RF, software, and systems engineers to design and deliver the next generation of antennas and RF systems for satellite and terrestrial communications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prototype RF circuits, antennas, and passive/active components.
  • Use tools such as Microwave Office, ADS, and HFSS to simulate and validate performance.
  • Drive hardware from concept through testing, integration, and demonstration.
  • Design analog/digital circuits for powering and controlling RF subsystems.
  • Develop and implement beamforming and null steering algorithms.
  • Perform testing using S-parameters, VSWR, insertion loss, gain, RCS, and more.
  • Contribute to RCS mitigation strategies and design optimization.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Author technical documents, including theories of operation, user manuals, proposals, and patent applications.


What You Bring:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in RF/microwave and electromagnetics.
  • Proven experience designing and testing linear and circular polarized antennas and RF circuits.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS, CST, FEKO, MATLAB, and SPICE.
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools like Altium Designer is a plus.
  • Strong hands-on experience with RF and digital/analog lab test equipment.
  • Exceptional technical communication and collaborative skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
