About the role:

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer - Product Development Lab you will be responsible for engineering support of Product Engineering Development Lab. You will report to the Engineering Manager of Nuclear Fuel Structures and Assembly Product Design. You will be located in Columbia, SC. This is a hybrid position that involves a mix of on-site and remote days, typically within the same week.

Key Responsibilities

• Interface between the Product Engineering Development Lab and Product Engineering design groups.
• Review test plans, Provide testing oversight, oversee collection and compilation of test data.
• Develop PE Lab capital plan to address obsolescence issues and develop new capabilities.
• Work in multifaceted teams with focus on new product development or issue resolution.
• Represent the Product Engineering Development Lab in its interface with the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and support for technical development of team members.
• Work with customers, vendors, and other teams to support Westinghouse business activities
  
  

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
