Overview:

We are looking for a Principal Lead Developer to take ownership of high-impact ServiceNow solution design and implementation across key domains including HR Service Delivery (HRSD), IT Service Management (ITSM), Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC – optional), and Security Operations (SecOps – optional). The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in HRSD and bring strong integration, technical leadership, and architectural design skills to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive end-to-end design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Lead HRSD implementations, with a minimum of 4+ years of experience delivering HRSD solutions including Case Management, Lifecycle Events (onboarding/offboarding), Employee Center Pro, and Content Management.
  • Leverage strong HRSD OOTB capabilities and customize as needed to align with business processes.
  • Build and manage integrations using MID server, including (preferably) Workday Spoke or other HR system integrations.
  • Deliver ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Configuration Management, and Service Portal customization.
  • Design and build custom widgets using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and AngularJS.
  • Contribute to GRC module implementation and enhancement (preferred but optional).
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with Business Analysts.
  • Strengthen platform security posture and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Provide architectural guidance and mentoring across teams, especially in Service Portal setup and workspace knowledge.
  • Maintain awareness of new features within the ServiceNow ecosystem with a focus on HRSD and GRC.
  • Lead SOAP and REST API integrations for ServiceNow with external enterprise systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and utilize Agile practices for delivery.
  • Ensure code quality, documentation, and compliance with internal standards through regular reviews.
  • Identify system improvement opportunities and proactively resolve technical challenges.

Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of overall experience in software development with at least 10 years working on the ServiceNow platform.
  • 6+ years in a leadership capacity on technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of platform security, quality control, and Agile methodologies.
