Job Description

Egis is currently looking for a Principal Engineer – Mechanical Infrastructure its Infrastructure Team in the UAE to support with the technical delivery of multiple Infrastructure projects across the GCC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide key technical expertise and input at different stages of multiple projects to ensure the highest technical quality of delivery within the Utilities discipline.
  • Monitor the technical quality of Utilities projects
  • Responsible for participation in the progress and coordination meetings of the design projects
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of mechanical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the design projects
  • Liaise with relevant local authority departments associated with completing the project
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and design documentation for Mechanical Infrastructure Projects
  • Conduct hydraulic modelling and surge analysis
  • Prepare District Cooling Load Calculation
  • Ensure the quality and timely delivery of infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with all disciplines and departments to provide design, reports, and liaison support


Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • A minimum of 9 plus years working in pumping stations, and lift stations, particularly in association with pumps and associated piping
  • Experience in District Cooling and Chilled Water System
  • Experience in Utility Tunnels and Culverts
  • Candidate shall have experience in Infrastructure Projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong technical writing and communications skills
  • Working knowledge of relevant software packages like REVIT, WaterGEMS, HAMMER
  • BIM experience is required
  • Knowledge of clash resolution of utilities modeling software like Navisworks
