Principal Electrical Engineer R&D - Innovative Medical Device Start-Up

Location: Twin Cities Northwest Metro
Compensation: Up to $180k base (DOE) + Equity

The Role:
The client is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and development of our groundbreaking medical devices, including capital equipment, disposables, and accessories. This is a dynamic role where you will provide technical direction and work cross-functionally with a sharp and collaborative R&D team to develop life-saving technology.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical design and development of new medical devices
• Design custom PCBs (Altium)
• Develop motor control and actuator control systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience (flexible for exceptional candidates)
• Experience in medical device capital equipment
• Proficiency in custom PCB design with Altium and OrCAD
• Experience with motor control and actuator control
• Startup experience is a plus
• Analog and digital design experience is a bonus
