Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Head of DevOps to lead the transformation of our DevOps strategy, driving innovation, automation, and cloud excellence with a strong focus on AWS technologies. This role is critical in reimagining our cloud infrastructure to be more resilient, scalable, and future-proof. You will spearhead initiatives to modernize our CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, and observability, ensuring a seamless and efficient development lifecycle. Working closely with engineering, security, and operations teams, you will be at the forefront of building a DevOps culture that accelerates business growth and technological excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and evolve a cutting-edge AWS infrastructure that is highly scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Lead a team of DevOps engineers to drive a transformation from traditional operations to a fully automated, cloud-native approach.
- Develop and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK to achieve full automation.
- Establish a self-service DevOps culture, enabling development teams to deploy and manage applications seamlessly.
- Overhaul and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and other modern automation tools.
- Champion a cloud-first, serverless-first approach leveraging AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and event-driven architectures.
- Lead the adoption of container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS, ECS) and microservices infrastructure for greater agility and resilience.
- Drive innovation in observability and monitoring, leveraging AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and AI-driven analytics.
- Implement and advocate for DevSecOps strategies, embedding security controls into CI/CD workflows and AWS environments.
- Spearhead a robust disaster recovery and business continuity strategy for high availability and fault tolerance.
- Optimize AWS costs through FinOps principles, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high performance.
- Build and manage AI/ML pipelines at scale, leveraging technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka, Apache Druid, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubernetes for ML (Kubeflow), MLflow, Airflow, and AWS SageMaker for real-time data processing, model training, and deployment.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, bringing forward emerging technologies and best practices that elevate DevOps maturity.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a proven track record of transformation initiatives.
- 6+ years of deep, hands-on expertise with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Strong experience in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
- Mastery of Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed clusters), Docker, and microservices architecture.
- Extensive experience in CI/CD pipeline automation with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline.
- Deep understanding of observability, logging, and proactive monitoring solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Expertise in cloud security, IAM governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven leadership in driving cultural and technological DevOps transformations.
- Hands-on experience in building and managing AI/ML pipelines at scale, utilizing Apache Spark, Kafka, Apache Druid, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubeflow, MLflow, Airflow, and AWS SageMaker.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional Or AWS Solutions Architect – Professional.
- Experience implementing serverless architectures at scale.
- Strong grasp of FinOps strategies for AWS cost optimization.
- Background in SRE principles and driving high-reliability engineering practices.
- Experience in building AI-driven automation and self-healing infrastructures.
