Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Cloud Network Automation Engineer in Pleasanton, CA. Summary: This role will focus on building, automating, and managing cloud-based network infrastructure, ranging from firewalls to load balancers and routers, across multi-cloud environments. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and automate network infrastructure in Azure and GCP (OCI is a plus)
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure-as-code scripts for network provisioning
• Automate deployment and configuration of network gear (e.g., firewalls, routers, load balancers) in cloud environments
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for network code deployments
• Maintain and version-control network modules and configurations in GitHub
• Work closely with cloud architects, DevOps, and InfoSec teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant network architecture
• Apply Ansible and scripting expertise for configuration management and automation tasks
  
  

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in network engineering, with cloud network automation
• We are seeking a Senior Cloud Network Automation Engineer SME with deep expertise in Azure, and strong working knowledge of GCP or OCI (preferred)
• The ideal candidate is a former Network Engineer or Architect who has evolved into a Cloud Automation expert, leveraging tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
• Advanced hands-on experience with Terraform for building and managing network infrastructure
• Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, NAT, DNS, etc.
• Experience automating cloud-native and hybrid network environments
• Strong proficiency in Ansible, Python, or similar scripting languages
• Familiarity with Git workflows, managing pull requests, branching strategies, and module versioning
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
