Pricing Specialist – Houston, TX

Overview:

A global logistics provider with deep Middle Eastern roots and an expanding U.S. presence is hiring a Pricing Specialist in Houston. This is a key commercial support role, responsible for generating competitive rates, managing RFQs, and strengthening margin performance across Air, Ocean, and Multimodal freight solutions. The role will act as a central hub between sales, carriers, and overseas offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage end-to-end rate quotations for Air Export, Air Import, Ocean Import, Ocean Export, and cross-trade shipments
• Coordinate directly with sales teams, carriers, overseas agents, and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely pricing solutions
• Analyze buying rates, carrier contracts, and customer margin expectations to optimize quote profitability
• Respond to RFQs and bid requests from key accounts, aligning pricing strategy with global trade lane strategy
• Maintain up-to-date carrier tariffs, surcharges, and transit schedules
• Liaise with origin offices in EMEA, Asia, and the Americas to support international pricing requests and quote validity
• Track win/loss ratios, pricing KPIs, and response times to improve quotation performance
• Support Sales and KAM teams in customer presentations and solution building
• Ensure pricing data is entered correctly in the TMS/CRM system for follow-up and forecasting

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of freight forwarding experience in a pricing, procurement, or commercial support role
• Strong command of international Air and Ocean freight pricing structures
• Familiarity with carrier portals, rate engines, and RFQ platforms (e.g., CargoSphere, INTTRA, WebCargo)
• Excellent Excel skills and attention to commercial detail
• Proven success supporting enterprise-level RFQs and regional sales teams
• CargoWise 1 experience highly preferred
