LHH Recruitment is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join a growing team in Houston, TX. The team needs someone with 2-5 years of hands-on pricing or procurement experience in the transportation and logistics industry. This is a pivotal role where you’ll help guide a young team while also driving key pricing strategies for a variety of complex projects.

Job Title: Pricing Analyst

Location: Houston, TX 77032 (100% Onsite)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $27.50 - $37.50/hr (DOE)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Industry: Transportation and Logistics

Key Responsibilities

• Price all aspects of transportation for the project department, including air freight, ocean, LCL, and bids.
• Process pricing requests from internal teams working directly with clients.
• Develop pricing strategies and models for complex projects and one-off needs.
• Collaborate with teams in procurement and operations to align pricing strategies with client requirements.
• Analyze pricing data and trends to optimize business operations.
• Support ongoing and new projects across a wide range of industries.
• Maintain and update pricing databases to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a pricing or procurement role within the transportation and logistics industry.
• Strong experience in procurement or pricing in operations.
• Must have experience with SCL (bill of lading knowledge required — cannot be trained).
• Proficiency in advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• CargoWise experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members.
• Experience in managing or working on bids and project-based pricing, especially for complex, large-scale projects.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Oversized experience in pricing or procurement within transportation/logistics is highly preferable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
