Position Summary
Reporting to the SVP, Private Label of the ofi Spices Division, the Pricing Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end management of the pricing process for both new and existing products across the spice category. Based out of our Downtown Chicago North American Headquarters, they will support pricing for products across spices manufacturing locations in Oxnard, CA and Bayonne, NJ. They will be responsible for the coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate must have great attention to detail and think critically about analysis of data to be successful in this role. They must be able to prioritize and complete multiple projects on strict deadlines.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform pricing process management including new product pricing evaluation, set up, pricing period adjustments and end to end leadership of the pricing process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align pricing strategy, profitability goals and expectations and provide data and pricing experience to answer questions, resolve pricing discrepancies and create individual market approaches as needed.
- Establish pricing guidelines, differentials, and margin guidance for different retail formats, size of business potential, types of products (PL and own Brand, straight ingredients, blends, co-man, housewares, seasonal products, new product introductions).
- Coordinate the new and current stock keeping unit pricing position by collection and interpretation of competitive pricing intel to align with the go to market pricing strategy and work to ensure profitability alignment.
- Produce, update, maintain, evaluate and distribute price lists.
- Analyze current trend and performance data and provide recommendations for pricing strategy improvements.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Work closely with sales, procurement, and customer service team leaders to provide financial insights that inform and drive business performance.
- Review ad hoc analysis and perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or related field is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Three (3) years of relevant finance experience is required.
- Must possess proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite with Advanced Excel required; experience with other accounting and integrated reporting solutions is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork, relationship building, and coordinative skills is required.
- Must be able to work with diverse team across various geographies.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, presentation, and listening is required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.
What We Offer
The pay for this role in the state of Illinois ranges from $79-105 k and is based on position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or other determining factors.
