Our health system site in Eau Claire is one of our largest community clinics/hospitals and has just been nationally recognized as a Best Regional Hospital in Northwestern Wisconsin (Ranked #4 in Wisconsin, 2024). Eau Claire hosts a 304-bed acute care hospital and has grown to become one of the largest multispecialty groups in Wisconsin, with more than 389 physicians representing almost every medical specialty, ranging from comprehensive cardiac and trauma care to a family-oriented maternity program with an intensive care nursery.
Eau Claire is proud to offer our community a stable presence in the midst of many healthcare organization changes in the NWWI region. Many specialty areas increased capacity to support the region in areas such as emergency department, oncology, obstetrics and hospital medicine.
Opportunity Details And Highlights
The Department of Preventive and Occupational Medicine is seeking an outstanding candidate at our MCHS site in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Duties will involve DOT exams, post offer pre-employment medical evaluations, fit for duty evaluations, OSHA mandated medical surveillance evaluations, occupational injuries/disease evaluations, Medical Review Officer services, return to work evaluations, Disability examinations. You will partner with other Board-Certified Occupational Medicine Physicians, Nurse Practitioner, RN, Specialized staff and Department Assistants; no call or hospital service. Within the occupational medicine specialty, you will find full collaboration amongst peer physicians and rarely alone handling occupational medicine cases.
- Monday – Friday; 35 patient contact hours per week with no call requirement or hospital service
- APP support within specialty
- Full collaboration and support from all sub-specialties
- Common EMR/PACS across all Mayo Clinic sites

Qualifications
Qualifications: Board-eligible or Board-certified in Preventive Medicine and/or Occupational Medicine.
- Will need to be certified or willing to take DOT certification and MRO certification exams within three months of start date.
