Predevelopment Architectural Manager: managing coordination and analysis of the technical, ecological, spatial, political, economic, and cultural impact aspects within land to be developed for projects, in collaboration with the project executive; developing estimates of construction costs and participating in design decisions, evaluations, studies, value engineering and analysis, scheduling, and constructability reviews, for projects; negotiating project development services; developing financial models along with the Capital Markets team to determine the best use of project sites; creating development budgets and presenting budgets to key stakeholders; creating and establishing the development team’s cash flow expenditures during each project life cycle; administering Requests for Proposals (“RFPs”) for project team (designers, consultants, and contractors); managing consultant, contractor, vendor, and other partner agreements; working alongside team members to establish project development timelines; overseeing site entitlements and managing the network of engineers and consultants, guiding each project through city and government approval processes to obtain all required permits and approvals; coordinating project scoping, budgeting, and bidding with the design team and contractors; and partnering with accounting to process invoices and managing cost controls.
Qualifications
Education Requirements: Master’s degree in Architecture or Design.
Additional Requirements: Graduate studies should have included courses in land use and environmental law, environmental systems, urban planning and design, analytic methods, real estate finance and development, real estate capital markets, and real estate finance; and analytics software (Tableau or Python; ARGUS, Excel Financial Modeling, Adobe Creative Suite, and CNC Fabrication).
