Role Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to pre-primary curriculum.
  • Facilitate a safe and dynamic classroom environment to enhance learning experiences.
  • Promote social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive activities.
  • Assess and monitor children's progress and development effectively.
  • Encourage creativity and expression through art, music, and movement.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about children's progress and classroom activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and their families.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support school initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development programs to improve teaching practices.
  • Administer assessments to gauge children's learning and developmental milestones.
  • Organize and facilitate extra-curricular activities promoting holistic child development.
  • Implement behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and assessments.
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance learning experiences.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment catering to diverse learners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification for pre-primary education.
  • Strong understanding of child development theories and practices.
  • Experience teaching young children is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in using educational technology and tools.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Patience and adaptability in managing diverse student needs.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young children.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse communities.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
  • References from previous employers/educational institutions.
