We are seeking a highly qualified professional with basic knowledge of battery technology and powertrain solutions to join our team located in Belgium, with the following characteristics and requirements:

• Key responsibilities:
  
  

  • Battery Design & Development
    
    

    • Lead battery pack design and integration projects
    • Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CATIA V5
    • Create and maintain design documentation and specifications
    • Perform mechanical and electrical design optimizations
    • Design and oversee battery systems integration
    • Analyze battery performance and technical specifications
    • Implement improvement initiatives for battery-related components

  • Component & Supplier Management
    
    

    • Manage relationships with key component suppliers
    • Evaluate new suppliers and components
    • Monitor supplier performance and quality standards
    • Coordinate with suppliers for technical requirements and specifications

  • BOM Management
    
    

    • Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) documentation
    • Implement and track engineering changes
    • Optimize component selection for cost and performance
    • Ensure BOM accuracy and version control

  • Purchasing Support
    
    

    • Provide technical support to the purchasing team
    • Assist in cost reduction initiatives
    • Participate in supplier negotiations
    • Review technical aspects of supplier proposals

• Interpersonal skills:
  
  

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)
  • 5+ years of experience in battery design and component management
  • Extensive experience with CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and design
  • Strong knowledge of battery technologies and electrical components
  • Proven experience in BOM management and optimization
  • Experience in supplier relationship management
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
