PowerBuilder Developer

Key Requirements

·        Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable PowerBuilder applications.

·        Collaborate with the team to analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

·        Implement complex database schemes and develop SQL queries and stored procedures to interact with databases.

·        Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure quality and performance of applications.

·        Optimize application performance through analysis and tuning.

·        Keep up-to-date with the latest PowerBuilder features and best practices, applying them to improve existing processes.

·        Assist in the migration of legacy PowerBuilder applications to newer versions or different platforms as required.

Skills and Experience

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

·        Proven experience as a PowerBuilder developer, with a strong portfolio of developed applications.

·        Proficient in PowerScript programming and understanding of PowerBuilder Foundation Classes (PFC).

·        Experience with database design, SQL, and stored procedures.

·        Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

·        Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
