Skills and Responsibilities:
• PowerBuilder: Proven experience in PowerBuilder development, including client-server, multi-tier, and internet applications.
• SQL: Expertise in SQL languages, including variations across different databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Database Design: Knowledge of database design principles, including normalization, indexing, and data modeling.
• Database Performance Tuning: Understanding of database performance tuning techniques and tools.
• Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for database-related issues.
• Communication: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with other developers and stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights.
• PowerBuilder Application Development:Develop, maintain, and enhance PowerBuilder applications, including client-server and multi-tier applications.
• SQL Database Management:Create, maintain, and optimize SQL databases.
• SQL Query Development:Develop, implement, and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
• Database Optimization:Analyze and optimize database performance, including query optimization, indexing, and storage management.
• Data Integrity:Ensure data integrity and security through backups, updates, and security measures.
• Reporting and Analysis:Generate and analyze reports from SQL databases, providing insights to business users.
• Collaboration:Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and database administrators to integrate database solutions into applications.
• Troubleshooting:Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Technical Specifications:Analyze requirements and prepare technical specifications for database development
