Main Purpose:The Power Technical Analyst would support the ongoing operations and future development of Trafigura’s North American Power assets. The Power Technical Analyst would support the Power Trading team to evaluate operational activities, propose and plan debottlenecks and beneficial projects, and support Due Diligence and M+A exercises around new Power asset acquisitions.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Economic analysis – the ability to evaluate economic analysis of existing Power plants and provide Technical and Economic updates to Trafigura Power desk and Trafigura management
Ensure existing Power plant economic drives are being followed on a daily/weekly/months basis
Understand and manage Power plant reporting KPI’s and be able to challenge Power plant operations
Single point of accountability between Trafigura’s Commercial team and Trafigura’s third party Power plant operations
Participate in daily and weekly operations meetings with Trafigura’s third party operators
Review monthly reconciliation produced by third party operators
Assess new business opportunities related to Power assets in conjunction with Commercial team
Experience
Engineering degree
5+ years of experience in Power plant Techno/Economic roles.
Knowledge
Safety oriented.
Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of working efficiently under pressure.
Capable of interfacing with all different levels of the organization.
