Job Description

***Only qualified Programmer 6 - Power Platform Lead candidates located near the Lansing, MI area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Required Skills:

Experience with Power Apps administration; including environment management application deployment Canvas and model-driven application architecture app permissions and sharing (4+ years)

Experience with Dataverse; including entity and field management security role and permission management data import/export data modeling understanding of Dataverse relationships and business rules (4+ years)

Experience with Power Automate administration; specifically flow management connection management and security gateway management and strong understanding of flow triggers and actions (3+ years)

Experience with Azure Active Directory / Entra ID; including user and group management Azure AD security and authentication and conditional access policies (3+ years)

Experience with Power BI; including workspace management dataset management and refresh scheduling report deployment and sharing understanding of Power BI security (2+ years)

Experience with Power Platform governance; including environment strategy and management data loss prevention policies understanding of auditing and logging (2+ years)

Troubleshooting and problem-solving; including the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong written and verbal communication; describing technology to diverse user groups gathering and documenting requirements

Flexibility to adjust quickly to multiple demands shifting priorities ambiguity and rapid change

Demonstrates strong customer service awareness and orientation

Preferred Skills:

Experience with configuration management and source code repositories including use of Git with Power Platform

Experience with PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and maintain environments

Experience with Power Pages including website deployment and management website security and permissions Dataverse integration

Relevant Microsoft Power Platform certifications e.g. Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate

Hire one resource who will be responsible for installation configuration and maintenance of software applications within the Microsoft Power Platform. This resource will work alongside application developers to determine the most suitable ways to address business needs design solutions and enable creation of supportable systems within the State of Michigan environment. The responsibilities will span multiple tools within the Power Platform. There will be a focus on solution design data structures processes and governance to support the creation of applications.

Job Responsibilities:

Data Management: Develop data structures and assign appropriate permissions manage data flows and integrations enforce data security standards

Application Lifecycle Management: Oversee the development and deployment of apps and flows manage the promotion of solutions between environments ensure proper version control and backup procedures

Environment Management: In collaboration with client Enterprise administrators this position will create and manage environments assign appropriate permissions and licenses to users monitor environment usage and capacity ensure environments are configured correctly and meet organizational standards

Governance and Documentation: Enforce organizational policies and standards conduct regular log review and performance assessments stay updated on client and Microsoft best practices and recommendations establish processes and create documentation for developers and end users

Support and Troubleshooting: Providing technical support to users (both business and technical) troubleshoot issues with environments apps and flows and resolve performance problems and security concerns

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs document requirements communicate effectively with technical teams and end-users promote the adoption of the Power Platform within Client
