Intermediate Power Electronics PCB Designer (Space Systems)
About the Role
We are looking for an Intermediate Power Electronics PCB Designer to join our hardware design team. This role focuses on designing and testing power electronics PCBs for satellites and space systems, including motor drive units, DC power systems, and telemetry circuits.
Key Responsibilities
Design high-frequency, high-efficiency power electronics PCBs for space applications
Develop schematics, layouts, and simulations (LTSpice, BoardSim)
Select and qualify space-grade electronic components
Support PCB assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple disciplines
Ensure compliance with space manufacturing and testing standards
Qualifications & Skills
3 to 10 years of experience in power electronics and PCB design
Expertise in Full Bridge power supply circuits and synchronous rectifier MOS transistors (eGaN preferred)
Experience with high-frequency power supplies (200 kHz - 1 MHz)
Proficiency in schematic entry tools (Mentor Xpedition, PADS, OrCAD)
Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing and space qualification standards
Hands-on experience with electronic lab instrumentation
Knowledge of space radiation effects on components (preferred)
Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
