About Position:

This role involves designing and building Power BI reports and dashboards, optimizing performance, and managing Power BI Premium capacity. You'll need strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and report performance tuning, along with experience in Paginated Reports and DirectQuery optimization. The role also requires proficiency in Power BI governance, security, and integration with multiple systems. Effective communication and troubleshooting skills are essential for coordinating with stakeholders and resolving performance issues.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX, Power Query (M), bookmarks, and drill-through features.
• Should have strong experience in implementing semantic models using best practices.
• Strong experience in Power BI Report Builder, Develop Paginated (RDL) reports for large-scale distribution using Crawford In-House tools and APIs.
• Tune and optimize reports connected to On-prem / Cloud databases via DirectQuery, ensuring performance.
• Manage and monitor Power BI Premium P1 capacity, including auto-scaling, memory usage, CPU load, and report cache strategies.
• Monitoring / Troubleshooting on-premises data gateways and optimize connector settings.
• Collaborate on report classification, and governance, including report lifecycle, naming conventions, RLS/OLS, and sensitivity labels.
• Integrate Power BI with multiple systems and design unified models across sources.
• Participate in CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps, Git, and deployment pipelines.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Strong experience with Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Desktop and Service, including Apps, Workspaces, and Deployment Pipelines.
• Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and report performance tuning (query folding, column pruning).
• Strong experience with Paginated Reports / Report Builder.
• Deep understanding of DirectQuery behavior, caching and optimization techniques with Oracle or Snowflake.
• Proficiency in using Power BI Metrics App to track capacity usage, autoscale events, and CPU/memory pressure.
• Hands-on experience of Power BI governance, security (RLS/OLS), sensitivity labels.
• Strong communication skills, stakeholder coordination, and documentation habits.
• Ability to troubleshoot and guide performance issues down to the SQL/query plan level.
