Job Summary

The Power BI Developer will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI, while leveraging .NET for custom application development and SQL for robust data management. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver interactive dashboards, reports, and data-driven applications tailored to the unique needs of our Aerospace Manufacturing, Large Music Venues, and SaaS businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Power BI Development:
• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights for stakeholders in Aerospace Manufacturing (e.g., production efficiency, supply chain analytics), Large Music Venues (e.g., ticket sales, audience demographics), and SaaS (e.g., user engagement, churn analysis).
• Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Optimize Power BI reports for performance and scalability using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• .NET Development:
• Develop custom applications, APIs, or integrations using .NET (C#) to support data processing, automation, or business workflows.
• Build and maintain backend services that connect Power BI dashboards to real-time or batch-processed data.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to create user-friendly interfaces for data-driven applications.
• SQL Development:
• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Create and maintain relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Implement data models and schemas to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and custom applications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to existing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in Power BI development, including creating complex dashboards and reports.
• 2+ years of experience in .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, or .NET Core) for building applications or APIs.
• 3+ years of experience in SQL development, including database design, query optimization, and ETL processes.
• Experience working in industries such as Aerospace, Entertainment, or SaaS is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service).
• Strong knowledge of .NET frameworks (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) for building custom solutions.
• Advanced skills in SQL (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL) for database management and query optimization.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Snowflake) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and RESTful APIs is preferred.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, or other Azure data services.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for building user interfaces.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of industry-specific data needs (e.g., aerospace supply chain metrics, venue event analytics, SaaS subscription models).
