Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong background in administration and embedded analytics to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced Power BI solutions while ensuring the platform is optimized for performance, security, and scalability. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver insights through customized embedded analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Administration :

• Manage and maintain the Power BI Service environment, including workspace creation, capacity planning, and licensing.
• Implement governance policies, security protocols, and compliance measures.
• Monitor and optimize Power BI service performance, usage, and capacity.
• Administer user access, role assignments, and permissions in alignment with company policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI infrastructure and usage.
  
  

Embedded Analytics

• Develop and deploy embedded Power BI solutions in external-facing applications.
• Integrate Power BI reports and dashboards using APIs, SDKs, and Power BI Embedded services.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless embedding of analytics.
• Create interactive, scalable, and user-friendly visualizations tailored to end-user needs.
  
  

Data Modeling & Report Development

• Design and optimize data models for effective reporting and analysis.
• Develop complex DAX calculations and measures to address business requirements.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all reports and dashboards.
  
  

Collaboration & Training

• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct training sessions for business users on Power BI tools, best practices, and self-service analytics.
• Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and provide recommendations for their adoption.
  
  

Qualifications

Technical Skills :

• Extensive experience in Power BI administration, including capacity and workspace management.
• Proficiency in Power BI Embedded, APIs, and integration into external applications.
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.
• Experience with Azure services (Azure AD, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse) for Power BI integration.
• Solid understanding of security models, RLS (Row-Level Security), and data governance.

Preferred Experience

• 4+ Years of experience with Power BI, including administration and embedded analytics.
• Familiarity with programming languages like C#, Python, or JavaScript for embedding scenarios.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Power BI deployment automation.
• Power BI or Azure certifications are a plus.
