The Engineering team at UrbanFT is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Engineer to work on migration from MS SQL, DB management, operate and maintenance of PostgreSQL.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for working on new and existing applications. While the candidate will be provided with mentorship and guidance in understanding both the product and the technology used to build the product, they will be expected to independently contribute to the development and maintenance of these products.

This role is based in our Noida office.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in PostgreSQL development and maintenance of all banking services and RDC products.
• Working with support team in debugging and resolving issues
• Participating in code reviews and other meetings.
• Documenting all the new development as well as undocumented work.
• Work with various internal teams to identify requirements.

Must have qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of PostgreSQL Management and Development experience
• Minimum of 2 years of SQL experience
• Reporting Development and Support Experience
• Development and Support of Data Warehousing
• Financial Industry Knowledge, a plus
• Familiarity/Experience using
• Git
• SQL
• Automation
• Team Player with a demonstrated desire to work with business partners/stakeholders
• Broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and ability to deal with complex application issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
